Dennis J. Alfonso was a Tampa Bay native who launched his legal career as a Supreme Court Certified Legal Intern for the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office in 1989. Following bar admission, he practiced criminal law and civil litigation before joining McClain & McClain in Dade City in 1995.
He served as General Counsel for the Pasco County Clerk and School Board beginning in 1995, and for the Hernando County School Board from 2011 onward. Recognized as a Florida Supreme Court expert in Education Law, Dennis maintained an active community presence through Rotary, Habitat for Humanity, and local advisory roles until his passing in 2023.
