Biography: 

A native of St. Joe, Florida, Knute Nathe began his practice as an extern in the Alachua County State Attorney’s Office and as a Certified Legal Intern in the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office.  After admission to the Florida Bar in 2013, Knute joined the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office as an assistant state attorney where he conducted numerous jury trials, nonjury trials, and motion hearings.

Knute joined McClain Alfonso, P.A. in November 2014. He practices in the areas of criminal law, family law, and general civil litigation.  He has experience before numerous trial and appellate courts throughout the State of Florida, as well as experience handling administrative hearings before the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings.

As a law student at the University of Florida, Knute was Vice President of Law College Republicans and Treasurer for the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy. He was also involved in the local chapter of Christian Legal Society, the Catholic Student Center at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, and the Law College Council.

Knute has continued his service to the community in private practice. From October 2018 to July 2020 he was a volunteer member of the Dade City Planning Board, a citizens’ advisory committee, and on June 30, 2020, he was elected to the Dade City Commission. On April 26, 2022, the Commission unanimously selected him to be the Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Dade City for the term ending April 2024. He also currently serves as an officer in the Rotary Club of Zephyrhills (Daybreak), as President of the Latin Mass Society of Tampa Bay, and as a board member of S.O.C.K.S (Students Organizing Cancer Krazy Socks).

Knute is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St. Joe and is a current member of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy.
